The Arusha International Conference Centre (AICC) has donated 12 million and 200 pieces of blankets to floods victims in Katesh, Hanang District in Manyara Region.

The recent floods and landslides washed away houses, rendering many families homeless.

The Head of AICC Public Relations Unit, Mr. Fredrick Maro handed over the donation to Manyara Regional Commissioner, Hon. Queen Sendiga on behalf of the Centre’s Managing Director, Mr. Ephraim Mafuru.

The Regional Commissioner, thanked AICC for the timely donation, that she said was badly needed by the flood victims most of whom are temporary sheltered in Katesh Secondary School and Government premises.

The brief handover ceremony was attended by The Permanent Secretary Prime Minister’s Office (Policy, Parliament and Coordination) Dr. Jim Yonazi and Manyara Regional Admistrative Secretary Ms. Karoline Mthapula.
