ARUSHA INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE CENTRE JOB VACANCIES VACANCIES The Arusha International Conference Centre (AICC) was established under the Public Corporations Act No. 17 of 1969 by a Presidential Order through Government Notice number 115, published on 25th August, 1978. The Centre is wholly owned by the Government of United Republic of Tanzania and operates under the purview of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and East African Co-operation. The AICC was established to manage and control the Headquarters’ complex of the defunct East African Community in Arusha which belonged to the defunct East African Community. It also owns Julius Nyerere International Convention Centre as per Arusha International Conference Centre (Amendment) Order of 2014, dated 19th March, 2014; and provide facilities and services on the complex for purposes of conferences, meetings, seminars etc. The Centre invites applications from suitably qualified Tanzanians to fill in the below mentioned vacant posts:- 1. INTERNAL AUDITOR Answerable to Chief Internal Auditor (a) Direct Entry Qualifications Holder of Bachelor Degree in either of the following fields; Finance and Accounting, Commerce and must be a holder of CPA (T), ACCA and registered by NBAA as Certified Public Accountant and working experience of 3 years or more in a similar position. (b) Duties and Responsibilities (i) Undertaking auditing activities in the Centre (ii) Enforcing financial regulations and procedures. The winner of the Logo Competition for the Julius Nyerere International Convention Centre (JNICC)

The Management of the Arusha International Conference Centre (AICC) is delighted to inform the Public that the Winner of the Logo design competition of its Julius Nyerere International Convention Centre (JNICC) is Mr. Suleiman A. Salim (24), a second year student from the Institute of Finance Management (IFM) pursuing Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSCIT). His creativity and stunning design incorporates the beautiful features and the true meaning of the JNICC and the coast zone in general. For his outstanding work Suleiman will receive prize of Tshs 5,000,000/= and a certificate of excellence. The Centre received a total of three hundred and fifty two (352) entries for the competition and has been overwhelmed by exceptionally high standard and creativity shown from the submitted entries. The Management is extremely encouraged to see such a strong engagement with AICC and the community especially from our communities’ younger generations. The Centre would like to extend its sincere appreciation to those who participated; and is looking forward to unveil the Logo and handing out the awards and prizes to Mr. Suleiman A. Salim over the coming weeks. The JNICC logo will be used for publicity and on other documents associated with the activities of the JNICC. Membe inaugurates AICC Board of Directors

By Protocol & PR Unit May 14, 2013 The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Honourable Bernard Membe has inaugurated the new Board of Directors of the Arusha International Conference Centre (AICC) for the next three year tenure of office. Minister Membe made the inauguration on Monday evening in a colourful ceremony which was also attended by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Mr. John Haule, staff and management of AICC and other officials from the Ministry. In his inaugural speech, Minister Membe expressed his confidence to appointed Board of Directors urging them to ensure that AICC continues to shine in the international arena in promoting Business tourism that would bring a social-economic impact to the country. “I am deeply honoured to say that you are the powerful team of committed and passionate Board of Directors, filled with experts in various areas such as international relations and diplomacy, politics, economics and human resources. If you make effective use of your expertise, you will help the Centre win the competitive edge in the growing competition of convention centres in the world”, explained Hon.
